Abstract:
A battery unit 2 is provided with a battery pack 4 and an accommodating case 8 that accommodates the battery pack 4. The accommodating case 8 includes a bottom wall 14 on which the battery pack 4 is mounted. The battery pack 4 includes a bottom-surface plate 36 that is positioned between the bottom wall 14 and a battery assembly 34 when the battery pack 4 is accommodated in the accommodating case 8, the bottom-surface plate 36 abutting the bottom wall 14. The bottom-surface plate 36 has a fitting projection 52 that projects in a direction away from the battery assembly 34. The bottom wall 14 has a bottom-wall-side securing groove 16 in which the fitting projection 52 is fitted, the bottom-wall-side securing groove 16 being located at a position corresponding to the fitting projection 52.
