Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a battery which can have improved cycling characteristics.
[Solution] A battery which includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte. The positive electrode includes a positive-active-material layer. The positive-active-material layer comprises positive-active-material particles, a fluorine-based binder having a melting point of 152-166°C, and a conduction aid. The surface of each positive-active-material particle is at least partly covered with a mixture of the fluorine-based binder and the conduction aid, the surface of the positive-active-material particles having an average degree of exposed areas of 32-55%. The positive-active-material particles comprise a lithium-transition metal oxide having a layered rock-salt type structure, the transition metal(s) being cobalt and/or nickel.
