Abstract:
A beaded type chain connector includes an external shell (20) and an internal cavity (22) to secure beads (30, 32) from beaded type chains. The connector is made from a resilient material. The application of force to the beads (30, 32) that are secured within the connector results in the release of beads from the internal cavity (22) when the force exceeds a threshold. The connector can be used as part of a safety device.
