The present application relates to the field of communications, and more particularly, to a beamforming method, apparatus, and system. The beamforming apparatus comprises a number N of input ports connected to a digital channel, a number M of output ports connected to an antenna channel, and a beamforming network located between the input ports and the output ports, the beamforming network comprising one or more types of device, the number of devices of each type being determined according to N, M and a set rule, and each input port of the beamforming network having a circuit to any one of the output ports; there is one input port among the N input ports which has only one circuit to each of the M output ports, and there is at least one input port with more than one circuit to each of the M output ports. Therefore, the present application can perform beam adjustment by means of the various devices in the beamforming network, thereby achieving different beamforming results and improving flexibility of multi-beam forming.
