Abstract:
A bending robot takes out a workpiece, which has been stored by abutting an end face on a storage reference plane of a stacker, and supplies same to a bending machine. The bending robot is provided with a body section for moving parallel to the storage reference plane, an arm section supported on the body section and capable of being positioned above the stacker, and a distance sensor that is provided on the arm section and is for contactless measurement of the distance to the workpiece stored in the stacker. With said bending robot, bending can be performed with high efficiency.
