A bicycle-mounted terminal, a charging pile, and an electric bicycle and a renting system and method therefor, which relate to the field of intelligent transportation. The bicycle-mounted terminal for an electric bicycle comprises: a receiver (101) configured to receive a renting request; and a controller (102) configured to: in response to the renting request, acquire a performance state of an electric bicycle directed at by the renting request (S501);communicate with a sever to verify the legitimacy of a renter when the acquired performance state satisfies pre-set renting requirements (S502);and when a legitimacy verification pass message from the server is received, transmit an unlocking instruction signal to a charging pile for the electric bicycle so as to unlock the electric bicycle (S503).By means of the technical solution, using a bicycle-mounted terminal to communicate with a sever enables a background server to acquire the usage condition of a rental vehicle in real time, thereby facilitating the supervision of rental vehicles.
