Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a binder composition which is for a nonaqueous secondary battery positive electrode and from which a conductive material dispersion having excellent dispersibility of a conductive material can be prepared. A binder composition for a nonaqueous secondary battery positive electrode according to the present invention comprises a polymer, wherein: the polymer includes a nitrile group-containing monomer unit, an alkylene structural unit, and a hydrophilic group-containing monomer unit; the content of the hydrophilic group-containing monomer unit in the polymer is at least 6.5 mass%; and an 8 mass% aqueous solution of the polymer has a haze of at most 70% at a pH of 8.0 or higher.
