Abstract:
Provided are a secondary battery having an excellent charge-discharge cycle characteristic (capacity retention rate) and discharge rate characteristic (discharge capacity ratio), and a binder for a power storage device, an electrode mixture for a power storage device, and an electrode for a power storage device for obtaining the secondary battery. The binder for a power storage device contains a fluorine-containing copolymer that has a unit based on tetrafluoroethylene or chlorotrifluoroethylene and a unit based on ethylene, hexafluoropropylene, or a perfluoro(alky vinyl ether), that substantially does not have a unit based on vinylidene fluoride, and that has an adhesive functional group capable of reacting with a hydroxyl group or capable of forming a hydrogen bond.
