Abstract:

Disclosed is a bioanode-based cathodic protection device for deep-sea equipment, relating to the field of corrosion prevention of deep-sea metals. The cathodic protection device comprises deep-sea equipment, a bottom-sitting support and at least one bioanode, wherein the bottom-sitting support is arranged at the bottom of the deep-sea equipment, and the bioanode is arranged at the bottom of the bottom-sitting support; and the bioanode comprises a protective cover, and several carbon brushes and electricity-generating bacteria that are arranged in the protective cover, wherein the electricity-generating bacteria are attached to the carbon brushes, the carbon brushes are connected by means of wires, a side wall of the protective cover is a side wall with a gap, the bottom of the protective cover is closed, the top of the protective cover is open, the bottom of the bioanode is connected to the deep-sea equipment by means of the bottom-sitting support, the top of the bioanode is inserted into submarine sediment, and the electricity-generating bacteria react with the submarine sediment to provide cathodic current protection for the deep-sea equipment. The cathodic protection device does not need to be regularly replaced, also does not need to provide extra energy, and thus has significant advantages.
