Abstract:
Disclosed is a biological enzymatic dyeing method for improving the strength of wool fiber. By means of utilising the characteristics of protein fiber macromolecules containing a large number of active groups such as hydroxyl, amino and carboxyl and same easily reacting with polyphenol pigments formed from enzyme-catalyzed phenolic compounds so as to form covalent binding, the low-temperature dyeing of wool fibers is achieved, and the strength of the fiber is also increased. The dyeing method is moderate in terms of operation conditions and easy to control; with environmental protection being increasingly emphasized at present, wool fiber dyeing using biological enzymes is safe, environmentally friendly and efficient; and the method has long-term development prospects.
