Abstract:

A supply device (8) for supplying blanks (10), which are for forming the outer box (14) of a package, toward a packaging machine (12) is equipped with: a conveyance path (26) for conveying blanks one by one along a conveyance surface (40); and a pair of rollers (30) disposed so as to be rotatable on either side of the conveyance surface and having, on the outer circumferential surfaces (42c, 44c), pressing regions (46, 52) for pressing band-shaped regions (24) of the blanks corresponding to the corners (16) of the outer box while feeding the blanks. One (42) of the pair of rollers has multiple cutting edges (48) in the pressing regions and when the blanks pass between the pair of rollers, the cutting edges form multiple incision lines (58, 90, 94, 96) in the band-shaped regions of the blank to reduce the bending strength of said band-shaped regions.
