A blood pressure measurement apparatus (1) is provided with: a sac-like pressing cuff (71) to be wrapped around a measurement site (100) of the body; a back plate (72) which is provided on the body side of the pressing cuff (71) so as to extend in the peripheral direction of the measurement site of the body; a sac-like sensing cuff (73) which is provided on the body side of the back plate (72) so as to be located in a region of the measurement site where there is an artery when the pressing cuff (71) is wrapped around the body; a feed device (3) which feeds a fluid into the pressing cuff (71) and the sensing cuff (73); first guide parts (84) which are provided on the body side of the pressing cuff (71) so as to form, on the body side of the pressing cuff (71), creases that intersect with the wrapping direction when the pressing cuff (71) inflates to exert pressure on the body; and second guide parts (94) which are provided on the body side of the sensing cuff (73) so as to form, on the body side of the sensing cuff (73), creases that intersect with the wrapping direction when the sensing cuff (73) inflates to exert pressure on the body.
