Abstract:
The present invention enables measurement of blood pressure of a living body more accurately than before. This blood pressure measuring apparatus measures first blood pressure of a subject. In the blood pressure measuring apparatus, a body motion classification unit classifies the direction of movement of a predetermined region in the body surface of the subject. The blood pressure measuring apparatus is communicatively connected to a model storage unit. The model storage unit pre-stores: (i) a plurality of blood pressure estimation models for estimating the first blood pressure on the basis of the result of classification of the direction of movement; and (ii) the result of evaluation of each of the plurality of blood pressure estimation models based on the result of classification of the direction of movement. A model selection unit selects a measurement model from among the plurality of blood pressure estimation models on the basis of the result of evaluation of each of the plurality of blood pressure estimation models. A blood pressure measuring unit calculates the first blood pressure on the basis of a pulse wave parameter using the measurement model.
