Abstract:

Provided is a blood purification device with which, even in the event of blockage or constriction of a blood flow path during blood return, it is possible to smoothly return blood remaining in a blood circuit into the body of a patient, and there is no need to reconnect a replacement fluid supply line during blood return.　This blood purification device is provided with: a saline supply line (La) that is connected at an upstream position on a blood-removal-side blood circuit (1a) and that supplies a replacement fluid to a blood circuit (1) during blood return; an upstream fluid replacement line (L2c) and a downstream fluid replacement line (L2d) that are connected to a downstream position, different to the upstream position, on the blood circuit (1) and that supplies a replacement fluid to the blood circuit (1) during blood return; a blockage identification unit (7) for identifying, in accordance with pressures sensed by pressure sensors (S1-S3), a blockage position at which a blood flow path in the blood circuit (1) or a dialyzer (2) is blocked; and a control unit (11) for switching, if a blockage position has been identified by the blockage identification unit (7), from one of a blood-removal-side replacement fluid supply line or a blood-return-side replacement fluid supply line to the other of the blood-removal-side replacement fluid supply line or the blood-return-side replacement fluid supply line, during blood return.
