A blow dryer. A component detection switch (SW2) detects whether a hairdressing component (2) is mounted at an outlet of a blow dryer body (1), and if so, generates an installation signal, and if not, generates a non-installation signal; when receiving the non-installation signal and detecting that a normal function switch (SW3) is closed, a controller (U1) controls the blow dryer body (1) to enter a normal function mode, and when detecting that an additional function switch (SW1) is closed, the controller (U1) controls the blow dryer body (1) to switch from the normal function mode to an additional function mode; and when receiving the installation signal and detecting that the normal function switch (SW3) is closed, the controller (U1) controls the blow dryer body (1) to achieve a standby mode, and in the standby mode, when detecting that the additional function switch (SW1) is closed or open, the controller (U1) correspondingly controls the blow dryer body (1) to start or stop. The blow dryer body (1) can automatically achieve a normal function mode and an additional function mode, has multiple functions, a high degree of automation and abundant functions, and is easy to operate.
