Abstract:
A technique is provided which enables safe operation of trains even when there is no correction of travel position based on position correction communication with a balise. If it is determined that position correction communication with a balise 40 has not taken place despite passing the position where the balise 40A is installed — in other words, if a detection error is determined — then the on-board device expands the train occupancy range by increasing the forward margin distance and the backward margin distance. The expanded train occupancy range is returned to the pre-expansion train occupancy range if it is determined that position correction communication has taken place with the subsequent balise 40B — in other words, if it is determined that detection has been performed.
