Abstract:
A brake control system (1) is provided with: a target brake force calculation unit (11) which calculates a target brake force for decelerating a vehicle in accordance with a brake command that contains either a regular brake command or an emergency brake command; and a target pressure calculation unit (12) which, in accordance with the target brake force, calculates a target pressure which is a target value for the pressure of a fluid to be supplied to a mechanical brake device (54) with a view to activating said mechanical brake device (54). The brake control system (1) is further provided with: a compensation control unit (13) which, in the case where the brake command contains an emergency brake command, performs control to compensate a discrepancy between an actual brake force and a target brake force; and an output unit (14) which compresses a fluid being supplied from a fluid source (53) in accordance with the target pressure and which then feeds the compressed fluid to the mechanical brake device (54).
