Abstract:
A housing 11 comprises, on one side of a brake pad 4a in the axial direction, cylinders 18, 19, an oil filling space 20, and spindle/nut placement spaces 21, 22. Pistons 12, 13 are disposed in the cylinders 18, 19 and are supported in a freely sliding manner. Incompressible oil is filled into the oil filling space 20. Spindles 14, 15 and nuts 16, 17 are disposed in the spindle/nut placement spaces 21, 22. When motors 5, 6 are energized and rotate the spindles 14, 15, the nuts 16, 17 move toward the other side in the axial direction and pressurize the oil in the oil filling space 20. When the nuts 16, 17 pressurize the oil in the oil filling space 20, pressure is conveyed via the oil to the pistons 12, 13, and the pistons 12, 13 move toward said other side in the axial direction.
