Abstract:
A breathable explosion-proof membrane (4) for a power battery explosion-proof valve, and a manufacturing method therefor. The explosion-proof membrane (4) is a porous waterproof breathable polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane, having a structure that the surface of each micron-sized polytetrafluoroethylene suspension resin microsphere is melted and connected to one another to be stacked into a microporous membrane having multiple air-permeable ducts (2). The air permeability is adjusted by controlling the pore size and the porosity of the explosion-proof membrane (4), so that the purpose of balancing the internal and external pressure of a battery pack is achieved. The manufacturing method for the breathable explosion-proof membrane (4) for a power battery explosion-proof valve comprises: manufacturing the porous waterproof breathable polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane by evenly mixing a modified polytetrafluoroethylene suspension resin or/and a pore-forming agent, subjecting the mixture to molding into a blank, a sintering process, and cooling, and then subjecting to a turning process for winding. Based on the process above, the internal pressure and the external pressure of the battery pack can be balanced, and the explosion-proof membrane can achieve a controllable explosion effect under the condition that a puncture structure does not exist.
