Description:
BUILT-IN HOOD HAVING FRONT PANEL WITH INTERLOCKING ELEMENTS

TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention relates to a hood assembly, in particular a built-in hood with an air intake on the front panel.

PRIOR ART

A front panel of the built-in hood has to be secured to the suction body with fasteners to ensure installation and serviceability. After the assembly of a body that forms a smoke extraction cavity connected with an exhaust chimney, the front panel is mounted on the body. In order to carry out service and assembly operations, removable fasteners that provide connection between the front panel and the body are used. One service staff aligns the front panel to the body while the other fixes the fasteners, such as screws, from the front panel to the body. Due to the heavy weight of the front panel, the assembly process is quite difficult. Alignment is to be ensured prior to the fastening despite the weight, and then the front panel is attached to the body with corresponding screws set arranged at the periphery.

CN202470182U discloses a rear panel installation assembly for a hood, in which a rear panel is provided with an connecting cover surrounded by a side panel, and the side panel is formed by twisting at the peripheral edge of the rear panel. The flange connecting the cover and the rear panel is provided integrally. In the extractor hood, the connection cover is provided with a connection frame, and a corresponding parallel and screwed upper connection surface and a lower connection surface are provided at both ends of the connection frame. Screws connect the connection cover to the upper connection surface.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The object of the invention is to facilitate the front panel assembly in the built-in hood.

In order to reach above mentioned objective, a built-in extractor hood is comprising housing in which a suction motor is secured and having a cavity with a support part thereon; an integral front cover with a panel partially covers the cavity when mounted on the housing, and a frame part adjacent to the panel from an inner edge so as to surround an opening accessing the cavity; at least one tab that engages with the inner edge of the support part by reaching into the cavity. The hood further comprising a male coupling part and a corresponding locking slot provided between the tab and the support part such that when the front cover is superposed from its peripheral edge to the housing facing down in the mounting position, the male coupling part and interlocks to the slot in such a way that the weight of the front cover is supported by the housing. In this way, the weight of the front cover, including the functional elements on it, such as the lighting element, is supported by the coupling part and the front cover remains fixed in the housing, as the coupling part will engage in the locking slot by simply pushing the front cover towards the housing.

In a preferred embodiment, the male coupling part provided on the support part and the corresponding locking slot on the tab are aligned with each other. Thus, it is possible to access the coupling part passing through the locking slot from the tab. In addition, the coupling part is able to pass through the locking slot by moving the front cover towards the housing in one direction.

In a preferred embodiment, the tab is in the form of a L-shaped plate at which a locking slot which extends from a carrier arm in an integrated manner to the frame part and is provided on a holding extension at the end of the carrier arm. Thanks to its L form, it is possible to extend the tab inside the cavity and directly reach the coupling part provided on the cavity.

In a preferred embodiment, the support part is in the form of a prismatic projection extending towards the front cover in the cavity and engaging with the holding extension from a parallel front wall. In this way, the weight of the front cover is prevented from making a deformation on the cavity. In addition, the front wall parallel to the holding extension, makes it possible for the tab, which passes into the cavity, to be completely interposed on the front wall. In this way, the front cover is self-aligning in the housing in the mounting position.

In a preferred embodiment, the locking slot has a hole provided in the holding extension and through which the coaxially adjusted coupling part extends and hold firmly in the mounting position. The coupling part passing through the hole can be accessed from the outside and it is possible to remove the front cover from the housing by flexing the coupling part during service maintenance.

In a preferred embodiment, a recess is provided on the holding extension of the tab and a stopper is extending outward from the support part to engage the recess at the mounting position. In this case, since the stopper is recessed in the mounting position, the front cover can be mounted to the housing without any axial stretching. In a preferred embodiment, wherein a connection element is provided on the tab adjacent to the locking slot and passes through a mounting hole on the support part and an aligned corresponding connection hole to fasten them together. The connection hole ensures that the front panel and the housing, where the coupling element and the locking slot make a preliminary mounting, are securely fixed to each other in a way that withstands vibration and additional loads.

In a preferred embodiment, the coupling element is in the form of a double-tabs with a distance that stretches towards each other to narrow down in a radial direction. With this form, the diameter of the coupling element is narrowed down by simply stretching the double arms towards each other in maintenance and it is removed from the locking slot.

In a preferred embodiment, the connection hole and the locking slot extend coaxially parallel to the extension direction of the tab. In this way, a screw passing through the connection hole does the same in case the tab comes out of the locking slot, keeping the front panel securely attached to the housing. In addition, the locking slot facilitates the visual detection of the connection hole during assembly.

In a preferred embodiment, wherein an auxiliary tab corresponding to the tab on opposite sides on the frame part a mirror symmetrical to each other and an auxiliary support part extending in the cavity -corresponding to the auxiliary tab and has a mirror-symmetrical with the support part. In this way, the weight of the front cover on the housing is distributed to two separate support parts from the opposing sides in the frame.

In a preferred embodiment, the peripheral edge is in the form of a flange extending outwardly and an outer edge of the front cover is arranged to surround the flange from the outside in the mounting position. In this case, it is possible to align the front cover to the housing by simply mount the outer edge over the flange.

In a preferred embodiment, at least one setting button is provided on the panel part adapted to control the suction motor.

In a preferred embodiment, the front cover is formed from a one-piece metal sheet. With the one-piece sheet, the entire front cover can be mounted directly into the cavity from the tab, which is also its own extension. In a preferred embodiment, at least one lighting element is mounted on the front cover. The lighting elements create an additional load on the front cover, but the connection between the coupling element and the locking slot can fix the equipped front cover alone in its mounting position.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In this detailed explanation, the subject matter invention is explained without any limitation and only with reference to examples to better explain the subject.

In Figure 1 , a built-in hood assembly is shown in perspective from below in the preinstallation condition. The built-in hood is installed vertically and in connection with a chimney (not shown). A housing (10) of the hood is of a thin hollow prismatic structure and in an upwardly tapering form. The housing (10) has a rectangular peripheral edge (11 ) that extends outwardly to form a flange. The housing (10) forms a cavity (12) inside which air passage is provided. A suction motor (40) is fixed in the cavity (12) in such a way as to create a vacuum at the mouth delimited by the peripheral edges (11). A box (13) of the control board (not shown) is located on the side of the suction motor (40) in the cavity (12). In the adjacent part of the cavity (12) to the peripheral edge (11 ), a prismatic support part (14) extending transversely and an auxiliary support part (15) in the form of mirror symmetry is formed. The support part (14) comprises a flat front wall (141 ) parallel to the opening surrounded by the peripheral edges (11 ) and a vertical side wall (142) supporting it in the cavity (12). An opening is provided in the front wall (141 ) and a metal support plate (143) is placed on it. A threaded mounting hole (17) is provided on the support plate (143). The support plate (143) extends transversely at both opposite ends of the supporting part (14). In the middle of the support part (14), there is a stop element (18) in the form of a protrusion extending transversely on an inward side edge. A distant coupling element (16) adjacent to the stopper (18) extends outwards integrally to the front wall (14). The coupling element (16) consists of two arms flexing towards each other, forming a slit in the middle of a cylinder. Additionally, the center of the mounting element (16) is aligned on the same extension axis on the central front wall (141).

A front cover (20) in the form of a one-piece sheet is rectangular in shape, enclosing the peripheral edge (11) along an outer edge (22). The front cover (22) has a panel (21 ) that partially covers the cavity (12) from the outer edge inward, close to one long edge. A hole is provided on the panel (21 ) adjacent to the short edge, and a lighting element (30) is provided on the front panel (20) from here, facing outward. In the middle of the panel part (21 ), a control panel consisting of sequential setting buttons (23) is mounted. The panel (21) has a frame (24) surrounding a hole open into the cavity (12). The frame (24) surrounds with an inner edge (241) a rectangular hole substantially covering the front panel (20). In the frame part (24) there are vertically bent extensions from the inner edges (241 ) towards the cavity (12). The ones on the long inner edges (241 ) of the extensions are straight, the ones on the short inner edges (241) are in the form of L, facing each other from the inside in a way that defines a tab (28) and an auxiliary tab (29). In Figure 1 b, the tab (28) and support part (14) are mutually shown in detail. The tab (28) includes a carrier arm (281 ) extended by bending towards the cavity (12) perpendicular to the corresponding inner edge (241) and a holding extension (282) obtained by bending it in vertically. The holding extension (282) is parallel to the front wall (141) and is of equal size. The length of the support arm (281) is arranged so that the holding extension (282) rests against the front wall (141 ) when the front cover (20) snaps from its outer edge (22) to the peripheral edge (11 ) in a mounting position. A connecting hole (27) aligned with the mounting hole (17) and a hole (261 ) of a locking slot (26) aligned with the tab (16) are located on the holding extension (282). In addition, a recess (25) adjacent to the locking slot (26) enters inward from the long outer edge of the holding extension (282).

In Figure 2a, the built-in hood is shown in perspective from below, with the front cover (20) mounted on the housing (10). The front cover (20) stands parallel and at a distance on the hob (not shown) to which it will be mounted. During the assembly of the front cover (20), it is simply pushed towards the housing (10) and its outer edge (22) is made to surround the peripheral edges (11 ) of the housing (10). Meanwhile, the carrier arm (281 ) leans the holding extension (282) against the front wall (14), enabling the coupling element (16) to engage with the corresponding locking slot (26). As the coupling element (16) with the rounded tip passes through the hole (261), its arms stretch towards each other, narrowing its diameter, and as it can be seen enlarged in Figure 1 b, it returns to its initial position after assembly and is locked into the hole (261). The same situation occurs with the auxiliary support part (15) on the opposite auxiliary tab (29) in mirror symmetry. Thus, two opposing coupling element (16) lock the front panel (20) to the housing (10) and hold the front panel (20) on the vertical axis. In this case, the stopper element (18) blocks the lateral movement as it is placed in the recess (25). The mounting hole (17), which is axially aligned with the connecting hole (27), is mounted to each other with the help of the connecting element (50), which is a screw. In this way, the weight of the front cover (20) carried by the coupling element (16) is transferred to the cavity (12) via the support plate (143) with the help of the connecting element (50). As can be seen in Figure 2b, when the holding extension (282) is disposed on the front wall (141 ), its long edge is aligned with the side wall (142). In this way, the tab (28) does not disturb the aerodynamics. In addition, both the connection hole (27) and the locking slot (26) abut against the front wall (141 ) with a dome-shaped concave recess extending from the holding extension (282) to the front wall (141). In this way, in the mounting position, the connecting element (50) and the coupling element (16) do not protrude outward by remaining inside the corresponding domes. In this case, a protrusion is not formed on the outer surface of the retaining extension (282). A removable filter element (not shown) has a thickness equal to the length of the carrier arm (281), and covers the opening enclosed by the inner edges (241) so that it fits into the retaining extension (282) from its front surface.
