Abstract:

A cable assist device, comprising a unilateral conductive element (301) and a grounding pole (102). One end of the unilateral conductive element is connected to a conductor structure in a cable (302), and the other end thereof is connected to the grounding pole. The unilateral conductive element is made to be in different connection states by applying voltages having different polarities to the unilateral conductive element. If the connection state of the unilateral conductive element is an on state, the conductor structure in the cable is conductively connected to grounding pole by means of the unilateral conductive element, thereby implementing the measurement of a direct-current resistance of the conductor structure; and if the connection state of the unilateral conductive element is an off state, the unilateral conductive element cuts off the connection between the conductor structure and the grounding pole, thereby implementing the test on an insulating resistance of an insulating structure. The present invention facilitates the test on the direct current resistance of the conductor structure and the insulating resistance of the insulating structure, such that overall troubleshooting can be performed on the cable to find damages of the cable in time, thereby reducing the subsequent locating and maintenance costs.
