Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an Ilex paraguariensis extract from which caffeine is removed, a method for producing said extract, and an anti-obesity composition containing the caffeine-removed Ilex paraguariensis extract as an active ingredient. [Solution] The present invention removes caffeine from a liquid extract and/or a solid extract of Ilex paraguariensis by using an adsorbent, thereby obtaining a caffeine-removed Ilex paraguariensis extract. The Ilex paraguariensis extract can be applied as a food composition, a medicine composition, or a cosmetics composition.
