Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] In the existing cages for breeding stocks, hens have a habit of laying
eggs at the four corners. As a result, it is found out at present that the feces
of the hens huddling together makes it difficult to obtain hatching eggs of good
qualities and the egg breakage rate is elevated. In addition, it is also found
out that a hen cannot get a relaxing place (i.e., one of the four corners) has only
a lowered possibility of egg-laying and thus hatching eggs of good qualities
can be hardly obtained because of these factors. Thus, it is intended to propose
a clean, highly efficient and novel cage for breeding stocks wherein laid eggs,
which are liable to huddle together at the four corners, can be dispersed. [MEANS
FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A rectangular cage composed of a floor part designed to
allow free migration of hens and an outer circumferential part showing good ventilation
almost allover the periphery, wherein multiple partitions are provided across
the narrow space above the floor part and these partitions are provided with a
visually blocking panel so as to provide relaxing places similar to the four corners
to hens.
