Abstract:
This calibration device 1 is intended to accurately calculate a camera parameter within a short time. The calibration device 1 is for use in an optical device 2 equipped with a two-dimensional image conversion element having a plurality of pixels, and an optical system for forming an imaging relationship between the image conversion element and a three-dimensional world coordinate space, and is provided with: a calibration data acquisition unit 8 that acquires calibration data showing correlations between two-dimensional image coordinates of the image conversion element and three-dimensional world coordinates of the world coordinate space; and a parameter calculation unit 7 that applies, to the calibration data obtained by the calibration data acquisition unit 8, a camera model in which two coordinate values among the three-dimensional world coordinates are represented as a function of one other world coordinate and two coordinate values of the two-dimensional image coordinates, and calculates a parameter of the camera model.
