The present invention provides a camera device, an image capturing system, a control method, and a program with which image processing for tracking a tracked target can be quickly and accurately performed in a terminal device when the communication state between a camera device and the terminal device is good, and with which the tracking of the tracked target can be continued smoothly even when the communication state between the camera device and the terminal device has become poor. A camera device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an image capturing unit; an image capturing direction adjustment unit; a direction control unit that controls the image capturing direction adjustment unit; a camera-side tracking calculation processing unit that acquires first target information indicating the position of a tracked target by analyzing captured image data, and that outputs the first target information; a camera-side communication unit that receives second target information from a terminal device; and a camera-side target information correction unit that corrects the first target information on the basis of the second target information.
