Abstract:
A carbon dioxide capture method and system capable of co-producing carbon monoxide and hydrogen. The method comprises: capturing carbon dioxide in a target component by using an alkaline solution to obtain a carbonate-containing aqueous solution; subjecting the carbonate-containing aqueous solution to a first electrolysis process to obtain a bicarbonate-containing aqueous solution and hydrogen; and in the presence of a catalyst, subjecting the bicarbonate-containing aqueous solution to a second electrolysis process to obtain carbon monoxide and hydrogen, wherein the catalyst is selected from one or more of the group consisting of elemental metals, alloys and compounds of Group VIII, Group IB, Group IIB, Group IVA and lanthanide elements. By means of the above-mentioned method, carbon dioxide obtained by means of capture can be absorbed and utilized in the form of synthesis gas, such that the application field of carbon dioxide recycling is further widened; moreover, part of the carbonate in the carbonate solution is changed into a bicarbonate before first electrolysis, thereby greatly reducing the power consumption and the process cost.
