Title:
CARRIER CARBON MATERIAL FOR SOLID POLYMER FUEL CELL AND CATALYST
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/152447
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a carrier carbon material that is capable of carrying catalyst metal in a high dispersion state and that is resistant to the occurrence of a flooding phenomenon and is subjected to a small voltage decrease even at the time of large-current power generation under highly humidified conditions, as well as a catalyst using the same. The present invention provides a carrier carbon material for a solid polymer fuel cell, wherein: the carrier carbon material is a porous carbon material; regarding the fine-pore volume and the fine-pore area obtained by the BJH analysis method from a nitrogen adsorption isotherm in an adsorption process, the volume of fine pores having a radius of 2-50 nm, VA, is 1-5 ml/g, and the area of fine pores having a radius of 2-50 nm, S2-50, is 300-1500 m2/g; and relative to the fine-pore volume VA (ml/g), the ratio (V5-25/VA) of the volume of fine pores having a radius of 5-25 nm, V5-25 (ml/g), is 0.4-0.7, and the ratio (V2-5/VA) of the volume of fine pores having a radius of 2-5 nm, V2-5 (ml/g), is 0.2-0.5. The present invention also provides a catalyst using the same.
