Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a catalyst composition for exhaust gas purification use and a catalyst for exhaust gas purification use, in each of which a pyrochlore-type CeO2-ZrO2-based composite oxide having improved oxygen storage ability (particularly oxygen storage ability after being exposed to a high-temperature environment) is used. In order to achieve the purpose, each of the catalyst composition for exhaust gas purification use and the catalyst for exhaust gas purification use of the present invention contains a pyrochlore-type CeO2-ZrO2-based composite oxide which contains Y and Mg and thereby exhibits excellent oxygen storage ability (particularly oxygen storage ability after being exposed to a high-temperature environment).
