Abstract:
The present invention relates to a catheter retaining device for keeping a catheter inserted into a patient's body by a predetermined length. The present invention provides a catheter retaining device comprising: a first annular member having a hollow center area in a ring shape such that a catheter can pass therethrough; multiple retaining members bent toward the outer surface of the catheter such that the outer surface of the catheter that passes through the center area can be selectively pressurized, the multiple retaining members being disposed on the inner surface of one side of the first annular member and spaced apart by a predetermined interval along the circumferential direction; and a second annular member having a hollow center area in a ring shape such that a catheter can pass therethrough, the second annular member being disposed concentrically on the inner surface of the first annular member and installed to be able to rotate, the second annular member having multiple support plates disposed on one side thereof and positioned to correspond to the retaining members so as to support the retaining members from inside such that the retaining members form flat plate surfaces without bending. The present invention is advantageous in that a catheter inserted into a patient's body and used to inject liquid treatment medication or the like or to discharge body fluids to the outside can be kept inserted into the patient's skin without using a separate tape. In addition, it is possible to effectively prevent movements of the catheter from changing the length of the catheter inserted into the body, which has been optimized for each patient.
