Abstract:
Provided is a catheter system capable of crushing a suctioned blood clot to be smaller than the internal diameter of a shaft body with certainty, and preventing the blood clot from blocking the inside of the shaft body. A catheter system 10 has a shaft body 11 to which a hollow inside of an inner tube 21 housed inside a long hollow-shape outer tube 20 is suctioned from the base end side. The outer tube 20 has an opening part 30 formed on the circumferential surface, and a contact part 31 provided inside toward the front end of the opening part 30. The inner tube 21 can move in the axial direction with respect to the outer tube 20, is disposed such that at least the front-end side end part can move back and forth between the contact part 31 and a position toward the base end from the opening part 30, and has, in the hollow inside at the front-end side end part, a cutting part 32 that can make contact with the contact part 31.
