Title:
CELL POPULATION INCLUDING MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS, CELL SHEET, AND CELL SHEET PRODUCTION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/090346
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention obtains a cell population containing mesenchymal stem cells that have excellent proliferative ability and osteoblast differentiation ability and that are useful for regeneration of periodontal tissues. Further, provided are: a cell sheet in which the material thereof is a cell population containing mesenchymal stem cells that have excellent proliferative ability and osteoblast differentiating ability and that are useful for regeneration of periodontal tissues; and a production method for the cell sheet. The present invention involves acquiring, through selection, a cell population having an alkaline phosphatase activity of 1 U or more before undergoing calcification induction, from a cell population containing mesenchymal stem cells derived from a tooth or a periodontal tissue. The cell sheet is obtained by: (a) a step for acquiring a cell population that contains mesenchymal stem cells having an alkaline phosphatase activity; (b) a step for culturing the cell population in a calcification induction medium and growing same on a plastic substrate; and (c) a step for recovering and rinsing a sheet-like cell population formed on the plastic substrate.
