Abstract:
A cell search method, a communication apparatus, a readable storage medium, and a chip system. A terminal device receives data of a first frequency point of a first duration; when a synchronization signal cannot be searched on the data of the first frequency point of the first duration, the terminal device receives data of a second frequency point of a second duration, and performs search of the synchronization signal on the data of the second frequency point of the second duration. The first duration is different from the second duration. Because data of different durations can be respectively received on the first frequency point and the second frequency point, for some frequency points, data of shorter duration can be received, and it is not necessary to receive the same duration of data at each frequency point, thereby shortening a time delay for cell searching.
