Abstract:
This centrifugal blower (1) comprises: an impeller (2); a motor (3) that rotatably drives the impeller (2); and a scroll casing (4) that houses the impeller (2), has an air intake port (6) and an air discharge port (7), and constitutes a flow path for the air flow generated by the rotation of the impeller (2). On an inner wall surface (11) of the scroll casing (4), which is separated from the impeller (2) in the radial direction of the impeller (2), there is provided a plate-form protrusion (16) that protrudes from the inner wall surface (11) toward the impeller (2) and that is extended in the direction of the air flow.
