Abstract:
A ceramic heater 10 comprises: a ceramic plate 20 which has built therein inner-circumferential-side and outer-circumferential-side resistance heating elements 22, 24; and a tubular shaft 40 joined to the back surface 20b of the ceramic plate 20. A long hole 26 is provided in a direction displaced from the diameter direction of the ceramic plate 20, and extends from a starting point S in a shaft inner region 20d to a terminal position E in an outer circumferential portion of the ceramic plate 20. A portion, of the long hole 26, that passes through the shaft inner region 20d is formed as a long groove 26a. Terminals 22a, 22b, 24a, 24b of the resistance heating elements 22, 24 are collectively provided in a first divided region that is the larger in area of two divided regions obtained by dividing the shaft inner region 20d by the axial line of the long groove 26a.
