A charging adapter according to one aspect of the present disclosure comprises a first connection portion, a second connection portion, an electric power supply path, an arithmetic circuit, and a transmission circuit. The first connection portion is detachably connected to an electric power supply adapter. The electric power supply adapter outputs a DC voltage. The second connection portion is detachably connected to a battery pack. The electric power supply path is electrically connected to the first connection portion and the second connection portion. The arithmetic circuit calculates control parameters for the electric power supply adapter, on the basis of the state of the battery pack connected to the second connection portion. The transmission circuit transmits the calculated control parameters to the electric power supply adapter, via the first connection portion.
