Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a charging method and an electronic device. The method presets at least two current values, and comprises: receiving a target charging time input by a user; acquiring a residual electric quantity of a battery; acquiring at least one current value to be selected form the preset current values, the current value to be selected being a current value of which the time used for charging the battery from the residual electric quantity to a full electric quantity based on the current values to be selected is less than or equal to the target charging time; selecting a current value from the current values to be selected as a charging current value; and charging the battery based on the charging current value. It can be seen that, in the embodiments of the present invention, based on the target charging time, a current value is selected from the preset current values as the charging current value, thereby regulating a charging speed, and the charging current value enables the time used for charging the battery from the residual electric quantity to the full electric quantity based on the current value to be not greater than the target charging time, thereby implementing that the battery can be fully charged in the target charging time input by the user.
