The present invention relates to a clothes treatment apparatus comprising: a cabinet; a drum housed in the cabinet so as to accommodate clothes; a driving unit for spinning the drum; a control unit for providing a command by which the driving unit is controlled to spin the drum so that a random course for treating the clothes is performed; a course selection unit for receiving a selection command by which one of the random courses is selected, and transmitting same to the control unit; and a performance unit for receiving a performance command by which the course selected by the course selection unit is performed, and transmitting same to the control unit, wherein the course selection unit has a UI enabling selection of: a standard course, which can be immediately performed if input is made into the performance unit before the selection command is input; a delicate course in which the maximum spin speed of the drum and/or the net acting rate of the drum is set to be lower than that of the standard course; and an adjustment course in which the maximum spin speed of the drum and/or the net acting rate of the drum is adjusted to be within a range lower than that of the standard course and higher than that of the delicate course, and thus user intent is reflected such that washing intensity can be adjusted.
