Abstract:
Provided is a clothes washing machine that not only appropriately suppresses the vibration of the outer tub, but also prevents the damage to the outer tub without compromising the design freedom of the outer tub. The clothes washing machine has an elastic support device (5) that elastically supports an outer tub (3) relative to a main body (2), and comprises: compression coil springs (54), provided at multiple positions around a rotation shaft (Ra) of a washing and dewatering tub (4) disposed between the outer tub (3) and the main body (2), that when compressed and being pressurized (Fp) have one end (61a) connected with the outer surface (32a) of the outer tub (3) and another end (61b) placed opposite the inner surface (21a) of the main body (2) with a gap (E) therebetween; a limiting cord (62) that uses the pressurized (Fp) state as a bench, allows the other end (61b) to displace toward the compression direction, and limits the displacement toward the extension direction.
