Abstract:
In systems that separate CO2 from a gas containing CO2 by using a solid-state adsorption material, the CO2 recovery rate and the purity of recovered CO2 are in a trade-off relationship, and enhancing the CO2 recovery rate while maintaining the CO2 purity is a problem. In the present invention, in order to recover CO2 remaining in a gap after desorbing CO2 from an adsorption material in a desorbing step, a gas is purged to force the remaining CO2 out when cooling (also serving as a purging step) and this gas is returned to be used in an adsorbing step, thus enhancing the CO2 recovery rate.
