Abstract:
Disclosed is an aqueous coating liquid wherein inorganic compound ultrafine particles are dispersed well.  Also disclosed is a gas barrier laminate which has a layer formed from the coating liquid and exhibits excellent transparency and gas barrier properties.  The coating liquid contains inorganic compound ultrafine particles, a polyester resin, a polycarboxylic acid sodium salt and water.  The gas barrier laminate comprises a base and a gas barrier layer formed on the base, and the gas barrier layer has a layer (A) which is formed from the coating liquid, and a layer (B) which contains a polycarboxylic acid polymer.
