Abstract:
An iodine polarizing film wherein iodine is adsorbed and oriented on a polymer film. The iodine polarizing film is characterized in that the iodine content is within the range of 1.9-3% by weight per 2.85 mm3, and the ratio of the orthogonal absorbance for a wavelength of 610 nm (A2) relative to the orthogonal absorbance for a wavelength of 480 nm (A1), namely A2/A1 within the single transmittance range of 43-45% is not more than 1.16.
