Abstract:
Provided is a coating tool-use liquid holding member, wherein a liquid holding tube for ink or the like is formed from a material containing a paper base material, rather than polypropylene or other such plastic used in prior art, so that the amount of plastic used, hence impact on the environment, is reduced. This coating tool-use liquid holding member is characterized by having at least three layers comprising a paper base material layered body provided with a paper base material inner layer and an intermediate layer that is a metal layer or a silica vapor deposition layer formed on the outer peripheral surface of the inner layer, and an outer layer comprising a paper base material and formed on the outer peripheral surface of the intermediate layer, the density of the paper base material in the inner layer being 0.8 g/cm3 or more.
