Abstract:
A coding device (100) that codes a coding target block of an image is provided with a processor (a1) and memory (a2) that is connected to the processor (a1). The processor (a1) generates, for a motion, a first predictive image having integer pixel accuracy on the basis of a motion vector of the coding target block, and uses a first interpolation filter or a second interpolation filter differing in the number of taps from the first interpolation filter to interpolate the values of decimal pixel positions between a plurality of integer pixels included in the first predictive image, thereby generating a second predictive image having decimal pixel accuracy, and codes the coding target block on the basis of the second predictive image. In the generation of the second predictive image, the first and second interpolation filters are used by switching depending on whether or not an affine mode is used for the coding target block.
