A collagen-loaded alginate medical dressing having an alginate needle-punched nonwoven fabric as a base fabric and a collagen coating layer formed by adhering collagen to the base fabric. The preparation method for the medical dressing comprises the following steps: first adding collagen to a specific amount of pure water and thoroughly stirring the mixture, so as to completely dissolve the collagen in water; adding a specific amount of alcohol to the aqueous collagen solution, and thoroughly stirring, such that the mixture is uniformly dispersed; and finally adding the solution of collagen in the water and alcohol mixture obtained by means of the above steps to a spray device, uniformly spraying the solution onto the alginate nonwoven fabric, and naturally drying the alginate nonwoven fabric to give a collagen-loaded alginate medical dressing.
