Abstract:
A first group of pixels (46A) is arranged in a matrix in the horizontal and vertical directions, at a prescribed pitch (p), on the imaging surface of a color imaging element (41). A second group of pixels (46B) is arranged at a position staggered, relative to the first group of pixels (46A), by 1/2p in both the horizontal and vertical directions. RBG filters (34R, 34G, 34B) are arranged using the same color filter array, upon the first group and second group of pixels. The color filter array is configured by repeatedly arranging, in the horizontal and vertical directions, a basic array pattern (P1) comprising the arrangement of the filters (34R, 34G, 34B). A G filter (34G) is arranged inside each line in the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal directions of the color filter array. At least one R or B filter (34R, 34B) is arranged in each line in the horizontal and vertical directions of the color filter array inside the basic array pattern (P1).
