Abstract:
Provided is a column base structure that is capable of preventing a building structure from damage, breaking, or collapsing and capable of preventing the size, weight, and cost of the column base structure or a building structure from increasing by improving the energy absorption capability of the column base structure. A column base structure (40) for which the peripheral section of a metal joint (42) that is joined to the lower end portion of a column member (4) is fixed by an anchor bolt (10) that projects up from the foundation concrete (3) and for which the anchor bolt (10) yields before the column member (4), wherein a first bending moment (Ma) at which the anchor bolt (10) begins to yield is larger than a second bending moment (Mb) at which the peripheral section of the metal joint (42) begins to yield and is set so as to be no more than 1.5 times the second bending moment (Mb).
