Abstract:
Provided is a combination balance whereby a finger of a worker can easily be released from between a gate plate pair when a finger of the worker is interposed between the gate plate pair. An example of this combination balance comprises a work stand in which a plurality of supply ports are formed, a gate plate pair (20) provided below the supply ports, a plurality of gate opening/closing drive units (9), a plurality of measurement units provided below the gate plate pair (20), a combination processing unit for determining a combination of objects to be measured such that the total weight thereof is within a target weight range, a gate control unit for controlling the gate opening/closing drive units (9) so as to close the gate plate pair (20) when an object to be measured is supplied to a measurement unit and open the gate plate pair (20) when an object to be measured is not supplied, and a full closure detection unit for detecting a fully closed state of the gate plate pair, the gate control unit performing control so as to open the gate plate pair (20) in a case in which the full closure detection unit does not detect a fully closed state of the gate plate pair within a first prescribed time from the start of control when the gate plate pair (20) has been controlled so as to close.
