Abstract:
Since in wireless communication used in a railroad vehicle, overhead increases and communication time increases as the division unit of the volume of data to be communicated is reduced, this communication environment measurement device is mounted in a vehicle so that the division unit can be appropriately determined according to a communication situation. When the vehicle travels a predetermined traveling section, as the communication environment measurement device, a control unit records, as respective measurement results in the predetermined traveling section, on a recording unit respective measurement data obtained by a communication unit, a position measurement unit, a radio wave measurement unit, and a weather measurement unit together with a time acquired by a clock unit, and reads and compares, to the respective measurement data and the time in the predetermined traveling section acquired during current traveling of the vehicle, respective measurement results in the predetermined traveling section acquired in the past from the recording unit, thereby selecting the most similar measurement results, and calculating a communicable capacity in the predetermined traveling section during current traveling on the basis of the selected measurement results.
