Abstract:
A communication method and apparatus, and a storage medium and a chip system, which are used for ameliorating the problem of network residency of a wireless communication apparatus in an underground garage scenario. The method in the present application comprises: a wireless communication apparatus limiting, within a first duration, a cellular network access range of the wireless communication apparatus, wherein the limitation on the cellular network access range comprises one or more of the following limitations: networks of all wireless access technologies are disabled, a network of a first wireless access technology is disabled, a first tracking area is disabled, and a first cell is disabled; before the expiration of the first duration, starting an autonomous recognition policy of an underground garage scenario, so as to recognize whether the wireless communication apparatus satisfies a scenario in which same can leave an underground garage; and after it is recognized that the wireless communication apparatus satisfies the scenario in which same can leave the underground garage, canceling the limitation on the cellular network access range, so as to access a previously limited cellular network before the expiration of the first duration. Thus, the duration of a limitation on a cellular network can be shortened, thereby ameliorating the problem of network residency in an underground garage scenario.
