Abstract:
The present application discloses a communication method and a communication apparatus. The method comprises: a terminal device receives wakeup information from a network device, and is switched from a first state to a second state in response to the wakeup information. The wakeup information comprises one or more of the following information: a first cell access barring indication, a second cell access barring indication, a resource configuration change indication, a resource configuration, and cell identification information. The first cell access barring indication is used for indicating whether to allow the terminal device to select or reselect a cell. The present application provides a new energy-saving method. Before receiving the wakeup information, the terminal device does not perform other communications, so as to save energy consumption. In addition, the wakeup information may comprise cell access barring indication information, such that a suitable cell may be selected after the terminal device is waken up, thereby improving the communication efficiency.
